Kylerhea
Kylerhea is a small settlement which was the original ferry port for Skye and the old ferry to Glenelg on the mainland still runs except for the winter months.
Turn right out of the campsite, and head down the A87 for about half a mile. The turning is on your right. The drive to Kylerhea is not for the faint-hearted - and is not suitable for caravans or large campervans. It is all single track with passing places and in parts is very steep, twisting and undulating.
Kylerhea is famous for its otter haven. There is a car park and a short walk to a wildlife hide, for viewing the otters. Here are some of the views around Kylerhea.
